| It doesn't matter what radio station you listen to, you have either experienced or will soon experience an application of Murphy's Law peculiar to radio. I am of course referring to the test of the emergency broadcast system right when your favorite song comes on or right when the news story or interview or debate reaches its most interesting point. If that weren't bad enough, they precede the automated message with this horrible screech/buzz at full volume for the sole purpose of freaking out unsuspecting motorists and laughing as they swerve all over the road. If you listen to NPR like I do, the effect is at least 4.2 times as bad because the music is calm and classical and the newscasters are, in the words of Strong Bad, "smooth 'n' smarmy." If they must test these systems, why can't they make the tests interesting? Like this:

| I hate Windows Vista. Having recently acquired a new computer with that particular operating system on it, I can say that I'd rather go back to Windows ME than deal with some of the new "improvements." The computer crashed the first time I turned it on! The wav below is my attempt to vent my frustration with Microsoft while continuing the in PSA/warning theme that began with the last entry.
